Arabah

(Deuteronomy. 1:1; Joshua 18:18)

“These be the words which Moses spake  unto all Israel on this side Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Red sea, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Di-zahab.” (Deuteronomy. 1:1)

 “And passed along toward the side over against Arabah northward, and went down unto Arabah” (Joshua 18:18)

Long and narrow valley extending from south of the Dead Sea until the Gulf of Elath, separating the Hills of Edom on the east from the Negeb Hills on the west. Part of the great rift valley in the earth’s surface stretching from Syria to East Africa.

The name is ancient (mentioned in Bible  in the account of the wanderings of the Israelites) and ……….
