Dan
(Genesis 14:14; Joshua 19:47; Judges 18:27-29)
“And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive , he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen , and pursued them unto Dan.” (Genesis 14:14)
The archaeological mound of the ancient city of Dan is 65 feet high. It is alongside the sources of the Jordan River,half a mile north of kibbutz Dan.

Initially called Laish, then called Dan after its capture by the tribe of Dan.
