Ruins of settlement and archaeological site within Canada Park, 2 km. north of the Latrun junction.

Some believe it to be the New Testament Emmaus, where Cleopas and Simon saw the risen Jesus, as told in Luke’s Gospel. Strategic site since ancient times. An stop-any-disease.com of  the Seleucid army was soundly routed here by Judah Maccabee in 166 BCE. Important road fortress during Roman conquest and Fifth Macedonian Legion camped here during the great Revolt against Rome.
