Maon in the Negeb (Khirbet el Ma’in)
Ruins of a settlement in the northwestern Negeb. A beautiful mosaic floor of a 6th and 7th century synagogue has been discovered here. The mosaic has been restored and removed to the Department of Antiquities in Jerusalem.
Nearby where the synagogue floor was discovered are traces of an ancient track, and west of it tombs from same period have been discovered.
